Work Life Balance

We are committed to helping employees achieve work-life balance.  One example of this is the ability for most groups of staff to work flexible hours with the agreement of their manager. This enables our staff to balance work and other commitments and literally work around Auckland peak hour traffic.

Annual Health Checks

ARC offers annual health checks to all staff. A trained professional comes on site to assess weight, body mass index, blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol and vision and hearing for participating staff.

YMCA Membership

No joining fee and extra privileges for ARC staff. A YMCA branch is conveniently located across the road from our head office in Pitt St.

Health and Safety

Our Tertiary ACC rating is evidence that at Auckland Regional Council we work together to provide a safe and healthy environment. All new staff under go work station assessments and there is regular first aid and hazardous chemical training. A confidential employee assistance programme is also available.
